Activity Goal: Improve memorisation and spelling of target vocabulary.

Summary: This vocabulary worksheet generator automatically fits listed words into a grid of letters. Students find the words, that are placed either vertically, horizontally or diagonally within the grid.

Example Usage:

1. Distribute worksheets.
2. Students work individually to find all the words on the grid.

Notes and Ideas:

• For more advanced students, uncheck the option to show a list of words. Instead tell the students the theme of the wordsearch. For example, ask them to find as many colours in the grid as they can. Or ask them to find this week’s new words.
• If faster students finish early, ask them to find any other words they can in the grid even if they are not on the list. (In English, it is common for prepositions such as ‘on’ and ‘in’ to be randomly present in a wordsearch grid.)
