Characters are another aspect of a story. The author tries to make characters convincingly real and lifelike by showing their true natures, strengths, and weaknesses. To present a credible character, the author may narrate the character's appearance and personality, record the character's conversation with others, describe the character's thoughts, or show the character's actions. Good character development makes the reader feel well-acquinted with the people in the story.
