Ebola is an extremely deadly virus. Infected patients are placed in quarantine because the disease spreads easily. The recent Ebola outbreak has hit countries in West Africa. The first signs of Ebola are flu-like symptoms. Electrolytes are minerals contained in body fluids. ZMapp is a drug that contains antibodies to fight Ebola. Until recently, ZMapp had not been tested in humans. A vaccine is a drug that can prevent people from getting a disease. Scientists first identified Ebola during an outbreak in Central Africa. Patient Zero is the name given to the first person infected in an outbreak.
