Belair National Park

A few days ago my husband and I caught the train to Belair to ride our bikes around Belair National Park. We thought the temperature was not too hot, but when we arrived, it was about 30 degrees and very sunny. We rode from the railway station to the main gate entrance where we were able to get a map of the park. Once we had our map we rode to the Old Government House but it was not open to the public. If you want to see inside, you have to make an appointment. By this time, it was quite hot and I could feel my skin burning so we returned to a shady picnic table by the lake. We ate our picnic lunch there and rested for a while before we rode back to the train station. It was a pleasant outing but between the sun and the hills we were quite tired. Belair National Park is a nice place to visit.
