The 6 steps/process skills of the scientific method/process are sssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss. The scientificmethod is how scientist think and analyze their work. Qualitative observations are where you use your five senses - sight, touch, hearing, smell, taste. The property of a material is the characteristics it has. There are many different types of these To classify is to put things into definite categories by common properties. To measure is to use tools to make precise or specific information with numbers. To communicate is to describe and share information with others. Some of the tools that are used to measure are ruler, scale, balance tape measure measuring cup. To predict is to think about what might happen. To infer is to use reasoning to draw conclusions. A quantitative observations tells the quantity -- how much -- of something by using measuring tools for precise, number observations. To observe is to carefully explore a material's properties; look/watch things with a purpose. The two different ways to identify property of matter is through quantitativquantatiiiiiive observations.
