Water has three states of matter. A gas is not a liquid, not a solid. A liquid is when the substance flows. A solid has and exact size and shape. How much material makes up an object is called mass. The freezing point is when liquid changes to solid. Melting point is the temperature where a sold changes to a liquid. When a gas changes to liquid it is called condensation. Evaporation is when a liquid changes to gas. The temperature that water changes to gas is the boiling point. When water vapor changes to liquid there is precipitation.
