America is essentially a dream, a dream as yet unfullfilled. The substance of this is expressed in these words: We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal; that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights; that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness." There is another thing we see in this dream that ultimately distinguishes democracy and our form of government from all of the totalitarian regimes that emerge in history. It says that each individual has certain basic rights. The American Dream reminds us that every man is heir to the legacy of worthiness. The price America must pay for thie continued exploitation of the Negro and other minority groups is the price of it's own destruction. First I think all of us must develop a world perspective if we are to survive. Through our moral and spiritual development we must make it a brotherhood. In a real sense, we must all learn to live together as brothers, or we will all perish together as fools.
