Exodus 13-14

You are to eat bread without yeast for seven days. On the first of seven days, you must remove all yeast from your homes. If you eat anything made with yeast, you will no longer be a part of Israel. You are not to work on the first and seventh days of the festival. The Festival of Thin (Unleavened) Bread is for remembering God brought the Israelites out of Egypt. The first-born Sons and males of the flocks and herds were to be dedicated to God. After the king had let the people go, the Lord did not lead them through Philistine territory. God led the Israelites through the desert and towards the Red Sea. God will make the king stubborn again, and he will try to catch the Israelites. The king got his war chariot and army ready. The king's soldiers caught up with the Israelites at the Red Sea. The Israelites begged God for help and complained to Moses. Moses said God will save you and the Egyptians will never bother you again. God told Moses to hold his stick over the sea and the water will open up. A large cloud was between the Egyptians and Israelites. The Israelites walked through the sea on dry ground with a wall of water on each side. The Egyptians chariots and calvary went after the Israelites. The Egyptian's chariot wheels got stuck and it was hard for them to move. God told Moses to stretch his arm toward the sea so the water will cover the Egyptians. The Israelites saw the bodies of the Egyptians washed up on the shore.
