A polygon is a closed shape with only straight lines. A quadrilateral is a shape with four sides. Area is a unit of measurement that describes the number of units inside a figure. Side length is the length of a side of a rectangle. Rows are things lying side by side. The formula for area is Area = Length x Width. Whole numbers are counting numbers such as 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. Unit squarres are units with sides measuring one square. Square units are a unit of measurement. A rectangle is a four sided polygon, or quadrilateral, having all right angles for corners.
