Representation → The idea that things are being portrayed or depicted in a certain way., Identity → The characteristics by which a person or thing is recognised. May be applied to groups of people and places., Place → Any point, building, area, town, or country., Event → Something that happens, especially when it is unusual or important., Concept → A mental representation of an abstract idea or notion., Cultural assumptions → Ideas, beliefs or attitudes about such things as gender, religion, ethnicity, youth, age, and social class that are taken for granted as being part of the fabric of the social practices of a particular culture., Language features → The tools the writer, speaker or designer uses to communicate ideas and to create interest for the reader. For example: metaphor, imperative, cliché., Text structures → How a text is put together., Theme → An underlying topic of a discussion or a recurring idea in a work., Tone → The mood or general feeling of something. E.g. His remarks were confident and reassuring., Audience → The type of people the writer intended to read it., Beliefs → Something that is accepted, considered to be true, or held as an opinion., Perspectives → A particular way of thinking about something, especially one that is influenced by your beliefs or experiences., Values → The moral principles and beliefs or accepted standards of a person or social group., Attitude → The way a person views something or tends to behave towards it, often in an evaluative way., Written texts → These include extracts from novels, newspaper or magazine articles and poems., Visual texts → These include posters, pamphlets and advertisements, Ideas → The message the text is trying to deliver., Style → The writer's, speaker's or designer's choice of words, viewpoint, types of sentence, and the way he/she has organised ideas.
