example: Ask someone if she/he shovelled snow during our holiday (Dec. 23 to Jan. 8). QUESTION:  Did you shovel snow?   NOTE: Sometimes we say "the holidays" because there is more than one holiday (Christmas, New Year's Day, etc.).      

Target Language or Knowledge:

Ask someone if she/he went out of town.
Did you go out of town?
Ask someone if she/he stayed in town.
Did you stay in town?
Answer question #1 with "No..."
No, I didn't.
Answer question #2 with "Yes..."
Yes, I did.
Ask someone if she/he stayed at home a lot.
Did you stay at home a lot?
Ask someone if she/he went out a lot.
Did you go out a lot?
Ask if someone did something special. Use "anything".
Did you do anything special?
Ask whether or not someone worked during the holiday. [= maybe yes, maybe no]
Did you work during the holiday?
Ask if someone was sick during the holidays. [Use an "s" at the end of "holidays".]
Were you sick during the holidays?
Ask if someone took care of sick family members.
Did you take care of sick family members?
Find out if someone had a good holiday. Ask a question.
Did you have a good holiday?
Find out if someone had fun with their family. Ask a question. Use "your".
Did you have fun with your family?
Ask if someone spoke English.
Did you speak English?
Ask if someone studied English.
Did you study English?
Ask if someone enjoyed the weather.
Did you enjoy the weather?
Answer question #15. DON'T use "Yes" or "No". Use "it" and "sometimes". [because we had good and bad weather during the holidays]
I enjoyed it sometimes.
Find out if someone slept a lot. Ask a question.

Ask if someone was waiting to come back to school. [wanted to come back to school]
