Nucleus
Directs what happens in a cell.
Cell Membrane
Thin, bendable cover that is wrapped around all cells.
Cell Wall
Found only in plant cells, a stiff outer layer around the cell membrane.
Cytoplasm
Found between the nucleus and the cell membrane.
Ribosomes
Make proteins and can be found all over the cell.
Golgi Apparatus
Takes in proteins and changes them so they are ready to leave the cell.
Lysosomes
Small, round organelles that help the cell break down food.
Vacuoles
Sacs filled with liquid. They hold water, food, and waste.
Mitochondria
Large organelles that are shaped like peanuts. Known as "Power Plants" of the cell.
Chloroplasts
Found mostly in plants.
Endoplasmic Reticulum
Group of membranes and tubes that twist and turn through the cell, forming tunnels.
