From a choice of 5 cars CENSUS A collection of information from the entire population SAMPLE A collection of information from a part of the population. OBSERVATION A collection of Information based on observation, collection & tabulation of numerical facts. STRATIFIED RANDOM SAMPLING If a population contains a subgroup that needs to be acknowledged then random sampling should be done to include that subset. Frequency Distribution Table The outcome column shows all the possible results for the data. The tally column is used to record the data. The frequency column is the total tally for each outcome. The total of the frequencies should be the same as the total number of data. Frequency Histogram A type of column graph where the columns are drawn next to one another to show the range of outcomes. Must include a title and a label for each axis – looks similar to a bar graph Frequency Polygon A type of line graph which must include a title and labels for each axis. Sector Graph Percentages are presented as parts of a circle Picture Graph A graph where pictures are used to represent data
